Community projects
Collective projects represent a social dimension of architecture that deeply interests me. Firstly, because of the positive impact that can be achieved through design, planning, construction, and the sharing of collective knowledge, with the aim of promoting social transformation.
Many architecture collectives today create spaces for reflection and community sharing, where residents make firsthand decisions about the spaces they will inhabit. The results are always extraordinary, involving different generations and improving interpersonal relationships among neighbors and beyond.
The strength of community and collective projects lies in the flexibility and creativity of the solutions implemented: a mobile kiosk, a cinema between buildings, benches in a deserted square, a mobile kitchen, etc. These are just a few examples of projects that could improve our way of living in the city.
Below, you will find some images of community projects I have participated in over the past ten years.
